Falcon Support Services
You Shouldnt Be Lonely This Christmas (Were Here For You)

Film & Campaign Description

Streaming on SpotifyApple Music and TIDAL 'You Shouldn't Be Lonely This Christmas (We're Here For You)' is an original song written and performed by staff and residents at our supported accommodations across Leicestershire. With collaboration from Pedestrian Charity, Clarence Street Studios, and Josh Penlington Media.

Our Christmas song and music video truly captures the community spirit of Falcon Support Services. Thank you to our staff and residents who stepped outside of their comfort zones to sing and dance along in the making of our music video.

It was released to raise money to combat funding cuts which would close our 30-bed hostel that houses 100 vulnerable people every year. #TeamFalcon remain positive and will continue fighting for the current and future Falcon service users to support people experiencing or at risk of homelessness across Leicestershire.

The message of our song is for everyone and encapsulates our core values of collaboration, persistence, dignity and excellence.

You Shouldn't Be Lonely This Christmas, share the festive Joy and the message that where you are today, does not define your tomorrow.

Falcon Support Services

We've been helping the homeless and those in need across Leicestershire find independence through housing and community support for 20 years. We provide, housing, community and recovery support delivering wrap-around support to tackle the root cause of homelessness and break the cycle.

In the last 12 months we have:

  • Housed 225 individuals
  • Had 9,979 visits to our Community Drop ins across Leicestershire
  • Provided 26,841 nutritious meals for residents and the community
  • Held 615 substance misuse sessions

On November 24th it was announced that Leicestershire County Council will cease funding a dedicated homeless support service from 31st March 2024 and instead provide an existing generic telephone and online service for homeless support.

By this date, if we cannot secure the £210,000 of removed funding the decision will result in the closure of our 30-bed hostel which houses 100 people a year who are experiencing homelessness. So far we have raised £25.8K towards this total in the hopes to #SaveTheFalconCentre.
