Youth Music
Take Note

Film & Campaign Description

Words by Meduulla

Featuring music by Richard Carter

And bars from KG

At a time of increasing inequalities across line-ups – from festivals to awards ceremonies – Youth Music are calling on the music industries to TAKE NOTE and champion a more diverse, more inclusive and more creative future of music.

Premiering as the intro film at the Youth Music Awards 2023, the film includes and is the result of collaboration between a number of Youth Music supported artists and organisations from across the country. A testament to their incredible work.

Youth Music

We believe that every young person should have the chance to change their life through music.

Yet our research shows that many can’t because of who they are, where they’re from or what they’re going through.

Our insights, influence and investment in grassroots organisations and to young people themselves means that more 0–25-year-olds can make, learn and earn in music.

Youth Music is a national charity funded thanks to the National Lottery via Arts Council England, players of People's Postcode Lottery and support from partners, fundraisers and donors.

We're giving every young person the chance to make, learn and earn in music.

Now is the time to act, but we can't do it alone.
