This is the story of Catherine, Kelly and Gemma who bravely share their stories on how struggles with Autism, Global Development Delay, poor mental health, isolation and abuse, greatly affected their lives, and their children's. And how Home-Start HOST and it's volunteers helped to give their children their childhoods back.
Home-Start HOST is one of Greater Manchester's leading family support charities. Through a range of bespoke projects and home-visiting support, our volunteers empower parents to be the best they can be for their children; despite having to deal with some very difficult circumstances, such as poverty, poor mental health, isolation and disability.
Our volunteers, who are firmly rooted in the communities in which our families live, give a range of emotional and practical support- helping parents to see a brighter future, and their children the childhoods they deserve.
