Judges’ Award 2024 Bronze Corporate Cause
This short documentary follows wildlife photographer and Parkinson’s sufferer David Plummer as he travels through Kenya to meet those who have been marginalised, stigmatised and persecuted for having Parkinson’s Disease. We want to give a voice to those who have been silenced and forgotten. We aim to increase awareness of the disease in Kenya as well as improve access to medication for those living with Parkinson's.
Changing Lives with Proven Therapies. LSVT Global grew out of a clinical need to help people with Parkinson’s regain their lost vocal abilities. The scope of this work was eventually expanded to help people with Parkinson’s improve their movements. Years of research and development led to effective treatments and a vibrant company whose core goal is to deliver global access to treatments that inspire hope and transform lives.
At the core of our mission are the renowned Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT) programs, developed with decades of research and clinical expertise. These programs, including LSVT LOUD® and LSVT LOUD for KIDS® for speech therapy and LSVT BIG® for physical and occupational therapy improve communication, movement, and quality of life for people with Parkinson’s and adults and children with other neurological conditions. These therapies have become gold standards in their respective fields.
In addition to our commitment to clinical excellence, LSVT Global is deeply invested in education and training. We offer comprehensive workshops, webinars, and resources for healthcare professionals, clients, and families, ensuring widespread dissemination of knowledge and expertise for improving communication and movement to those in need.
