Adoption Support Agency PAC-UK, part of national charity Family Action co-produced this groundbreaking short-film with their birth parent service users who courageously share their lived experiences of having children removed from their care and placed for adoption. As well as sharing their personal stories, they also give advice to prospective adopters and adoptive parents to improve life outcomes for children who are adopted.
Trigger warning: This film contains references to suicidal thoughts, domestic violence, coercive control and mental health difficulties from the outset.
We believe there’s no ‘right way’ to be a family, that it’s relationships that matter.
Whatever family means or looks like for us, Family Action changes lives because through it we can take control and shape or reshape our futures for ourselves.
Whatever’s happened, or is happening in your family, whatever you may be going through, Family Action is here for you.
Family Action is a national charity working at the heart of 180 local communities to bring practical help and emotional support to tens of thousands of people each year through times of change, challenge or crisis.
