'One Conversation' is a spoken word and film project delivered by North Yorkshire Youth and funded by the Office of North Yorkshire Police, Fire & Crime Commissioner.
This is a youth led project designed to highlight the issues that are important to young people in the District of Selby. The project used creativity as a way of expression and communication of these important youth issues.
The project produced a powerful spoken word song featuring the voices of local young people. Every word spoken in the film was written by the young people who feature in it. A high quality video production was also made with the young people to help the audience visualise the issues highlighted. The video was created in partnership with Inspired Youth Arts.
The wish of the young people involved, is that the video will provide a useful resource and conversation starter to be used in schools and the wider community to raise awareness of bullying and mental health.
Here at North Yorkshire Youth we’re passionate about our product – providing a broad range of opportunities and activities for children and young people to explore and discover their own potential.
