Crohn's and Colitis UK
Cut the crap: Get checked, get your life back

Film & Campaign Description

Natalie-Amber, 30, was “constantly ill” for seven years before being diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease. She has shared her story to raise awareness of the symptoms of Crohn’s and Colitis and encourage young people to use our symptom checker, saying that an earlier diagnosis will help them to “live their lives again”.

We know that after months or potentially years of having to drop out of social events, dates, school, or work, because you keep having to rush to the toilet or are doubled over with stomach pain, it is a relief to know what is really going on with your body and to take control of your own health with treatment that works. The symptom checker can help people decide if they should speak to their GP.

Stomach pain, diarrhoea, blood in poo could be many of the signs of Crohn's and Colitis. Even if you don't have all the symptoms, or even if your symptoms come and go every few weeks or months. Cut the crap. Check for Crohn's and Colitis. www.crohnsandcolitis.org.uk

Crohn's and Colitis UK

Crohn’s and Colitis, the two main forms of Inflammatory Bowel Disease, are lifelong conditions affecting over 500,000 people in the UK. The symptoms can be debilitating, painful and therefore life-changing. There is no known cure.

We are the leading charity for people affected by Crohn’s and Colitis. Our work with healthcare professionals helps improve diagnosis, treatment and management of the conditions.

We campaign for change which will help improve lives, and our vital research grants drive pioneering work to discover better ways of managing Crohn’s and Colitis, with the hope of one day finding a cure.

We provide easy-to-understand, expert information to people affected by Crohn’s and Colitis when they need it most through our Helpline and award-winning resources, and we work hard to bring the community together so they can support each other.
