Embracing Arts
Christmas for Kids Promotional Video

Film & Campaign Description

Christmas for Kids is the flagship festive project of Embracing Arts, an award winning Children's theatre charity. Christmas For Kids delivers seasonal silliness for children’s hospices and SEND schools across the UK. In this promotional video we explore the profound impact our work has on children and their families/communities. This video campaign has been produced to raise aware of our work.

What do we do?

Our audiences are unique in their range of disabilities and needs – from life-limiting illness to profound multiple learning difficulties. Since they are unable to attend the theatre at this special time of year, we bring the theatre to them, and to their families, teachers and carers.

Whether the audience is 2 children and their carers, or a large Christmas party, we adapt our performance to suit. Our digital show is always delivered entirely for free, and our in-person shows are heavily subsidised to ensure that every child can enjoy the magic of theatre at Christmas time.

Since 2009, we have performed for more than 22,000 children, and recently adopted an additional digital delivery to increase our outreach and provide more flexible viewing.

How you can support our work further...

This project relies on grants and donations to provide our shows for free, you can support our work here.

Embracing Arts

Embracing Arts is an award-winning children's theatre charity that is dedicated to creating shows, workshops and parties for children with special educational needs and/or life limiting conditions. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for children with complex care or educational needs and life limiting conditions by providing high quality interactive Christmas shows, Inclusive Parties and Schools Workshops across the UK.

Our projects are designed for children who are often excluded from the arts due to access barriers they face through disability. We work with children with Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), complex care and educational needs and those with life-limiting illness. We make the content of our shows, parties and workshops all-inclusive - involving siblings, carers, parents and teachers just as much as the children themselves to provide a shared experience that everyone can enjoy.
