Children's Heart Federation

The Children’s Heart Federation (CHF) is the leading national charity championing children with heart conditions. CHF is dedicated in empowering these children, their families, and carers.

Our vision is that all children with heart conditions have their medical and social needs met so they can live the fullest life possible. Our mission is to provide recognition, research, and resources to support those affected by children’s heart conditions.

CHF are excited for a full year ahead, continuing to work towards the best possible outcomes for all children with heart conditions across the UK.

The Children’s Heart Federation helps children with heart defects and their families by:


  1. Activity Days for children with heart conditions and their families to connect through peer-to-peer support and activities that encourage them to build confidence in exercise and themselves, championing their fullest life possible in body, mind and heart.
  2. 24/7 Information helpline for parents and carers of children with heart conditions
  3. Information sheets heart conditions and caring for children with heart conditions
  4. Support Tools such as Molly’s Dollies, story books to help children and their siblings understand heart conditions
  5. Providing medical equipment for children with heart conditions such as INR machines
  6. The Heart2Heart newsletter containing information and news for the cardiac community
  7. Online connection including our Pulse Parents private Facebook forum and online
  8. Coffee and questions events discussing topics relevant to children with heart conditions.


  1. Working in partnership with other organisations to develop policy and campaign on issues affecting families of children with a heart condition


  1. CHF is involved in research projects benefitting long term outcomes for children with heart conditions.
