Alzheimer's Research UK
Alison & Frank

Film & Campaign Description

Alzheimer’s Research UK’s Connections film series features supporters and family members living with dementia, highlighting the ways in which the condition affects people’s connections with their loved ones and the wider world.

The latest film follows the story of Alison and Frank. Frank was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2020 and the film explores how this has impacted the couple's life together.

The film was created in-house by staff at the charity and is used by teams across the organisation to highlight the importance of the cause. It was launched in September 2023 as additional content to support the Change The Ending campaign. The film was also released to support the charity’s For A Cure rebranding, highlighting the mission to find a cure to end the heartbreak of dementia.

Alison and Frank are powerful advocates for raising awareness of dementia and the need for research into the condition. Read more about their story here www.alzheimersresearchuk.org/blog/how-alzheimers-changed-our-lives-and-why-we-want-to-change-the-ending-for-others/

Alzheimer's Research UK

If nothing changes, one in two of us will be directly affected by dementia – either by developing the condition ourselves, caring for someone with it, or both.

As the UK’s leading dementia research charity, we’re determined to stop this from becoming a reality.

We’re working to revolutionise the way we treat, diagnose and prevent dementia. But we will not stop there.

With your support, we will keep going until every person is free from the heartbreak of dementia. We exist for a cure.
