Judges’ Award 2023 Silver Longform Under £350,000
This film showcases our innovative partnership with the Remba Island community and a private sector partner, DREAM EP Global Energy Ltd who have provided solar electricity to the Island. Having seen how first-time access to electricity could be a lever for social change, DREAM and Remba Stakeholders invited PFP to work with the community on sustainable development initiatives. This film tells the story of this partnership and the impact that we have created together for the benefit of the whole community.
We commissioned this film as a way of showcasing how we can work with businesses to help them achieve their ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) objectives, delivering tangible social and environmental impact.
PFP’s vision is of empowered, healthy, prosperous communities across the world. We focus on sustainable development in Kenya and Uganda, initiating and delivering programmes that improve health and nutrition, increase access to quality education, provide access to water and sanitation, create livelihoods and improve climate resilience. Our projects are designed to increase household and community income, building the resilience and capability of the communities we serve and reducing their dependence on charitable support through our “handshakes not handouts” partnerships. Innovation and clean technologies is the backbone to our projects, and we partner with communities, business and other development agencies to deliver maximum impact and sustainability.
