"We want people to know that when they come to the end of their life, their life has truly mattered." - Nigel Hartley, Mountbatten Chief Executive.
More people need our help than ever before, and we cannot afford to ignore anyone. 'Anyone. Anywhere. Any time.' shows how Mountbatten is expanding its reach across the Isle of Wight, Southampton City, and large parts of Hampshire by enabling people with life-limiting illness to live as well as they can for as long as possible; providing 24/7 care and support to people at home and in our hospices; and leading the conversation about death, dying, and bereavement to give our communities confidence to embrace death and dying as a part of life.
Hear from patients who share what this care and support means and how Mountbatten has changed their lives.

Mountbatten Isle of Wight and Mountbatten Hampshire are separate charities working in partnership to provide 24/7 inpatient and community domiciliary and palliative end-of-life care services to people across the Isle of Wight, Southampton City and large parts of Hampshire, including rehabilitation and enablement services and psychological and bereavement support to patients and their families.
Treating everyone with kindness and compassion, and providing a safe and caring environment is at the heart of everything we do to support those living with a life-limiting illness and their loved ones.
We deliver 24/7 expert care and support to people experiencing death, dying, and bereavement. We give patients and their families choices about the care they receive, providing the highest quality nursing, medical, and therapeutic care within our hospices and in people's homes, supporting the physical, social, and psychological needs of our patients and their loved ones.
We currently support around 3,000 families every day across the areas we serve, and the demand for our services is predicted to rise by 40% in the next 18 months.
Our services are free of charge to all who need us, thanks to the generosity of our amazing communities and our incredible volunteers who give their time to support the best possible care for local people living the last years of their life.
We align with the following UN Sustainable Development Goals:
