Here's a quick overview of what you can expect during the Smiley Charity Film Awards 2026 campaign.
The Smiley Charity Film Awards was open for:
UK and International Charity/Community Interest Companies/Social Enterprises entries from 1 October until 5 December 2025.
Corporate Cause: Brand and Corporate Organisations entries from 1 October until 11 February 2026.
Entry for 2026 is now closed.
19 November - 6 February 2026
Entrants are encouraged to appeal to the public and their supporters to watch and votes for their film.
The organisations with the most votes make it onto the shortlist and become finalists, so this phase is important.
Corporate Cause entrants do not take part in the voting round.
The shortlist of Finalists was announced on 11 February 2026.
23 February - 23 April 2026
The organisations with the most votes will win People's Choice in their category. Winner, Silver, Bronze are awarded in each category.The organisation with the highest number of votes overall will win Grand Prix - People's Choice.
Judges scoring takes place between the 24 February - 27 March 2026.
Our panel of expert judges select the Winner, Silver and Bronze in each category.
Winners will be announced on 29 April 2026.
