Kidz Klub Leeds

Since 2000, Kidz Klub Leeds has been opposing the poverty of opportunity that tell our city’s most marginalised children ‘don’t expect much for yourself’. Our purpose is to confront child poverty and support marginalised communities, where families often face entrenched poverty and multi-generational trauma. We are a community-led, grassroots charity supporting over 1000 children and families from the 16 most disadvantaged communities within inner-city Leeds.

For 25 years, we have consistently supported neighbourhoods facing complex, intersectional barriers and high levels of inequality. Many of the communities we serve fall within the top 10% most deprived areas in the UK — some even within the top 5% (IMD 2025). Life expectancy is up to eight years lower than other parts of the city (Leeds Observatory). Throughout this time, we have reached over 28,000 children, carried out over 707,000 home visits, and committed over 113,850 volunteer hours, building a legacy of trust with families and communities. We welcome children and families from a rich tapestry of cultural backgrounds, including refugee and asylum seekers.

Our programme includes Home Visits, Family Support Work, Mentoring, Residentials, Play Streets, weekly Hub Klubs and a monthly Central Klub. Our Young Leader’s Program builds confidence and develops young people’s skills to be able to move on to training and employability.
