Jessie's Fund

Jessie’s Fund is a small charity who aims to help children and young people with complex needs and/ or life‐limiting illness to find their voice through music. The charity was inspired by the life of Jessica George, a lively and musical child whose life was cut short by a brain tumour in 1994. Jessica died at Martin House Children’s Hospice and during her time at the hospice, her parents, both professional musicians, became aware of the lack of musical provision. They officially established the charity in the following year. We aim for our work in children’s hospices, on children and young people’s hospital wards and in specialist school settings to be self‐sustaining, through our focus on staff training and resource development. This year we are celebrating 30 years of transforming lives through music.
