Young carers from Argyll & Bute worked with Media Co-op in producing a 2 minute animation, ‘Young Carers and Children’s Rights in Argyll & Bute’. Due to our geographic environment, they did this over two evening sessions online and a further all day in person creative session in Dunoon. The children and young people were amazing, so honest about their caring roles and lives.
The animation was funded through the CORRA Foundation UNCRC Innovations Fund as part of our work in Argyll & Bute, around Children’s Rights, we proposed creating an animation to our young carers. Olivia, Charlotte, Lillie-Rose, Lola, Ava, Robyn, Caragh, Rosalie, Ellie, Jack, Ben and Eleanor took up the challenge on behalf of Young Carers in Argyll & Bute.
Argyll & Bute has four Carers Organisations across the local authority commissioned by Argyll & Bute Health & Social Care Partnership to support Young Carers, those participating in the animation are supported by; Crossroads Young Carers Cowal & Bute and Helensburgh & Lomond Carers Centre.
Voting ensures Young Carers voices are heard locally and nationally, thank you
