We Hear You: Breaking Silence and Shame
We Hear You is a moving short film that gives survivors of sexual violence a voice, featuring Sarah and Susannah, two survivors we have supported and continue to work alongside today as they bravely share their journeys. The film also features our Patron, Laura Bates, a leading voice and tireless campaigner for women and girls everywhere.
Together, their voices highlight the power of speaking out and the importance of being met with understanding, compassion, and belief.
The film reflects every call, every counselling session, and every moment of support that helps survivors begin to reclaim their lives. We Hear You is a message of hope for all survivors, including those who have never spoken out or felt believed: there are people who understand, who will listen, and who will believe you.
By putting survivors’ voices at the heart of the film, the campaign challenges shame, breaks silence, and inspires a future where sexual violence is confronted and survivors are truly heard.

SARSAS is a Bristol-based charity supporting survivors of rape and sexual abuse across Avon and Somerset.
We’re one of 37 Rape Crisis centres in the UK, offering specialist, trauma-informed support. Since 2008, we’ve helped thousands of people through our helpline, counselling, online courses, community groups, and practical support.
Our services help survivors begin to heal, take back control, and rebuild their lives – with 97% of our clients reporting reduced trauma symptoms and feeling able to better function in daily life.
Alongside support, we campaign for change, challenge the systems that allow sexual violence to continue, and make sure survivors’ voices are always at the heart of our work.
We also work to prevent sexual violence through our training programmes in workplaces, educational settings, and the wider community.
We align with the following UN Sustainable Development Goals:
