It's in the Bag

We are the only testicular cancer charity in the South-West, providing Support, Raising Awareness and Celebrating Survival.

It’s in the Bag is run by a group of testicular cancer survivors with support from specialist NHS staff. We have three simple aims:

  1. Support
We are here to support those with Testicular Cancer (Germ Cell) and their families with a range of support at diagnosis, during treatment and beyond.
  2. Awareness
Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in men aged 15 to 45. Yet, for many young and middle-aged guys, it’s not even on their radar. When detected early, it is over 96% curable and requires less treatment. We teach men the importance of checking their balls regularly and taking any issues straight to their GP.
  3. Survival
With UK cure rates for testicular cancer running above 96%, we focus on survival – helping guys tackle the emotional and practical impact of cancer, both during treatment and beyond.

Amanda tells us all about Tom, her son who died of Testicular Cancer. As we know Testicular Cancer is 96% curable, but there are those who do not do so well. This is sometimes due to late diagnosis, but also due to aggressive disease. Amanda and her family benefited from the help given by It’s in the Bag and want to give back.
