This is Nursing is the Royal College of Nursing’s International Nurses’ Day hero film and campaign, created to shift how people see nursing and why it matters to everyone’s health. Anchored in real voices and lived experience, the film brings audiences closer to the skill, judgement and emotional labour that sit behind “care”, and the direct link between nurses’ working realities and patient safety.
Made in collaboration with creative partner Faltrego, the approach combines RCN’s access, editorial integrity and duty of care to contributors with cinematic craft designed to land emotionally and stay with the viewer. The result is a human-led, visually confident film that doesn’t rely on statistics to prove impact, it lets the audience feel it.
International Nurses’ Day is a rare, high-attention moment to recognise nursing publicly and globally reset the narrative beyond stereotypes. The campaign uses the film as a centrepiece to drive understanding, pride and public support for nursing, because protecting the nursing workforce protects the nation’s wellbeing.
