We're the occupational charity for the brilliant people who work, or have worked, in print and the allied trades.
We wanted to share the impact that we have had on people in the sector we support, because we're proud to be there for them, and also, because the more people who find out what we do, the more people we can help.
So, we decided to bring our impact to life through a short film, covering data and, most crucially, personal stories from those we support. The result is this film. We hope you like it as much as we do! Thank you for reading.
We're the Printing Charity, the second oldest occupational charity in the UK, and we're here to help everyone who works, and has worked, in print, paper, packaging, graphics and publishing. We're celebrating our 200th anniversary in 2027, and while the ways that we support people have changed beyond recognition since we were founded in 1827, the need for the practical, emotional and financial help we provide has never been greater.
Currently, we provide a free, confidential and independent helpline for in-the-moment emotional support and practical information and guidance; financial assistance for people struggling with everyday living costs, or hit with an unexpected, unaffordable expense; Almshouse communities for those of limited financial means who are retired from our sector; and our Rising Star Awards, funding training and development for our sector's amazing emerging talent.
Our goal is to be there for everyone in our sectors, when we're needed.
