Catalyst Support
Steven's Story - A personal experience of Cuckooing

Film & Campaign Description

Catalyst Support presents a short film based on a personal experience of a cuckooing victim.

Cuckooing is the practice of taking over vulnerable people’s homes and using them for criminal activities. Victims of cuckooing often feel helpless as they lose control of their own property, and their home is no longer their safe space.

Catalyst Support's specialist outreach team works across Surrey, Hart & Rushmoor, providing holistic, targeted support for vulnerable adults where there are concerns of cuckooing. We conduct preventative work within the community, collaborating with partner agencies to identify and protect potential victims, raise awareness, develop strategies to combat this form of exploitation and share best practices with the rest of the UK.

Understanding cuckooing and recognizing the signs is crucial to safeguarding vulnerable members of society and maintaining the safety and well-being of our communities.
