In Uganda, just 27% of children complete primary school. Girls especially face barriers like early marriage, household chores, and social norms which force them out of school.
Every time a girl stays away from school, her vulnerability increases — but champions like Teacher Everce are changing that story.
During the recent teachers’ industrial action in Uganda, while classrooms remained closed, Teacher Everce turned crisis into opportunity — using social and emotional learning sessions to help adolescent girls build self-awareness, resilience, and positive decision-making skills.
Help more girls to stay in school and lead the lives they choose by supporting our social and emotional learning project.
Link Community Development Uganda (LCDU) is a local organization committed to upholding the rights to quality education for every child in Uganda, especially girls, those most marginalized and hard-to-reach. With over two decades of experience, LCDU has supported almost 800 primary schools, reaching more than two million children across rural and urban Uganda.
