Produced in collaboration between The University of Sheffield's Dr Jennifer MacRitchie, AgeUK Sheffield, and the Young-Onset Hub, "Living with Young-Onset Dementia: Our Music, Our Voice" seeks to challenge the stereotypes often associated with music and people living with dementia, while also exploring new tools and technologies to support interaction with music. The film is made by real voices from the dementia community, centring their diverse experiences and interactions with music.
The film premiered on May 24, 2025, at the Hillsborough Pavilion, accompanied by a discussion panel featuring many of the individuals living with dementia featured in the film.
