Children on the Edge
Living in conflict: supporting displaced children in Kachin State, Myanmar

Film & Campaign Description

Displaced by conflict, the communities we work with in Kachin State live in extremely remote camps, high up in the mountains in northern Myanmar. We support 500 of the youngest displaced children by providing preschool education in safe bright colourful classrooms.

The camps are virtually impossible to access but for the first time in a decade, our partners have been able to send us video footage from the early years education programme. We would love you to take a look and see it for yourself.

Children on the Edge

Children on the Edge is a child rights organisation created to support the world’s most marginalised children. We currently work with more than 20,000 children in Bangladesh, India, Uganda, Myanmar, and Lebanon.

Over thirty years of experience in more than 18 countries have enabled us to work alongside communities to design programmes that address their specific needs and circumstances.

By doing so, we help transform the lives of marginalised children by co-creating protective, nurturing environments in which they can safely live, play, learn, and grow.
