ShelterBox
'In the cold night' - A ShelterBox story with Imelda Staunton

Film & Campaign Description

The film is based on the real-life experiences of the families ShelterBox supported in Syria and Türkiye after the devastating earthquakes earlier this year, and raises awareness of the threat that winter poses to people fleeing conflict and disaster.
Artwork by Karen George. Narrated by Imelda Staunton. Thanks to our friends at Bull & Wolf for the animation.

ShelterBox

We’re ShelterBox. A global community that believes shelter is a human right.
We’re united by a shared purpose – no one without shelter after disaster. Because shelter is the foundation for life. A foundation for survival, stability and dignity. Enabling people to take steps towards recovery.
We started over 20 years ago with our iconic green ShelterBoxes. Today, we do much more.
We listen. Hearing what people need, creating innovative and tailored support to meet complex situations.
We support. Giving emergency shelter and aid essentials. Shelter repair kits, water filters or solar lights. Helping people build, repair or return home.
And we share. Using our expertise to support those affected and champion local partnerships and environmental sustainability.
Disaster, conflict and climate change are forcing more people to flee their homes than ever before. We must act now to change this.
Support ShelterBox. Together, we can build foundations for life.
