Bed poverty is a topic not much discussed, yet it affects so many. With this video, we hope to shine a light on the situation to generate more support, so we can help even more children. A good night’s sleep can make a significant impact, even helping to transform lives.
Operation Orphan exists to keep orphans and vulnerable children around the world - safe, warm, healthy, and learning.
Forget-Me-Notts is the UK project of Operation Orphan. Social workers report many local children are sleeping on the floor or on soiled/old mattresses. Working with them, we tackle children's bed poverty by delivering and installing bed solutions, improving the child’s physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing.
To date we have installed over 1600 beds: the project is ongoing and responds to overwhelming demand as the cost of living and number of children in bed poverty continue to rise.
