Eli T - a talented singer, songwriter and Include member - tells her personal journey about the difference Include has made to her and performs, 'Include Choir Angels' - an original song born of lived experience.
"It's changed my life immensely. The team that I've met have helped me heal and grow and helped me find my purpose again. They have taken me out from the dark and into finding the light again".
Whilst Eli's song is a reflection of her own experience, it resonates with so many of our members who regularly tell us they feel the same sense of belonging at Include.org. The video is a celebration of the difference that inclusive communication makes. How it builds confidence and gives people with understanding or speaking difficulties the tools and opportunities they need to advocate for their own needs and rights, while building an inclusive community around them.
This was a zero-budget film, made possible by Include's strong community. Thank you Eli for allowing us to share your original song and raise awareness of Include for our Big Give campaign which ran from 2-9 December 2025. Thank you to Maddie for editing Eli's story with such care and respect, as well as Lewis for taking the time to record Eli's song.
Include.org is a Surrey-based inclusive communication charity making a big impact every week.
Our vision is to build a world where no one is excluded because of communication needs and build communities where everyone belongs.
One in five people experience some form of communication difficulty or disability in their lifetime. The reasons can be multiple and varied, perhaps autism, a stroke, or learning disabilities, for example. We believe in the social model of disability, and so our services look to increase wellbeing, inclusion and empowerment.
- Empower people through community projects, training, choir performances, co-production and lived-experience consultancy.
- Help communities to be involved with, understand better, and care more about people with communication needs.
- Combine music, Makaton signing and fun with Speech and Language Therapy and accessibility expertise, teaching better ways of including and involving people with understanding or speaking difficulties.
As more people join us, we want to make sure there is a place for everyone.
In 2026, we hope to expand to new communities while keeping the same quality, care, and values that make Include a place where everyone belongs. Continue to create and encourage people to use inclusive speech and language resources like talking mats, symbols, easy read documents and objects of reference, as well as coproducing a personalised skills development program for everyone who needs it. We also want to invest in our lived-experience trustees and coproduction group, 'The Champions' program so we can empower more of our members with lived experience of communication needs to create their own inclusive resources and make decisions for the long term future of Include.org
