Change Grow Live Camden
Distraction Pack

Film & Campaign Description

This short Docudrama discusses the intersection of neurodiversity and substance misuse, particularly focusing on how individuals with neurodiverse conditions such as ADHD often use substances as a coping mechanism. Distraction Pack explores the undiluted anxiety that some people suffer from with neurodiverse conditions and is depicted through sound and drama . The film highlights the importance of creating support networks within the police and change grow live, ( a substance misuse treatment centre) especially in police custody. This film is aimed at improving services for neurodiverse clients and supply distraction packs for those who are neurodiverse and find themselves in custody. The film emphasises the importance of collaboration between organisations and individuals to enhance treatment approaches and acknowledges the societal structures that can disable individuals with neurodivergent conditions. Distraction Pack is supported by the London Assembly, The Met & Transport Police, ADHD Alliance and made by Cgl Camden Creatives, a neurodiverse group, with 'realives'.
