Ickle Pickles Children's Charity

The Ickle Pickles Children’s Charity offers a unique opportunity to help vulnerable babies at a uniquely crucial time in their lives. We strive to give every newborn a chance by working nationally whilst delivering tangible local benefits for neonatal units, parents and communities.

This campaign video was produced in-house with zero budget and instead, with lots of passion and generous supporters who shared their unique story to raise awareness of prematurity. There are over 100,000 babies treated in neonatal units in the UK every year – we call these babies Ickle Pickles. Each Ickle Pickle deserves a chance. We support sick and premature babies across the country by purchasing vital life-saving equipment for neonatal units.

We support and work directly with families affected by premature birth and help them along their neonatal journey. We advocate for consistency of care across all areas of neonatal care - in particular, the availability of modified & specialised ICU (Intensive Care Unit) equipment for transfer teams to ensure the same levels of care in ambulances as in neonatal units.
With NHS budgets under extreme scrutiny and pressure, the unfortunate reality is that every neonatal unit in the UK manages a list of kit they urgently need. We work closely with neonatal units to find tailored solutions and donate funds for the equipment that they most urgently need.

We are the only charity raising funds to donate intensive care equipment to neonatal units across England and Wales. We are providing families with the opportunity to raise funds for the specific neonatal unit that treated their Ickle Pickle. We have raised over £3 million for intensive and special care equipment since 2009.
