We are Chance to Shine, a children’s charity dedicated to harnessing the power of cricket to transform the life prospects of young people in the UK.
We want all young people to have the opportunity to play, learn and develop through cricket. We want them to learn a love of the game and to find a sense of belonging through the sport, developing their wider wellbeing and life skills to help fulfil their potential.
Established in 2005, we have a long-term track record of delivery in state schools and under-served communities, bringing best-in-class cricket programmes to young people aged 5 to 24 who might not otherwise have the opportunity to play. Working in partnership with the cricket community, all our sessions are delivered by expert, professionally-trained cricket coaches who are united in our mission to inspire, have fun and unlock potential.
We are inclusive. We believe there should be no barriers to picking up a bat and ball and learning to play cricket. All our programmes are completely free to access for everyone involved, from schools and community groups to young people and their families.
Our reach across the UK is substantial, but the true power lies in our impact. We are driven by data and carefully measure the scale and scope of our programmes, constantly innovating to drive positive change.
We are ambitious for our charity and for the young people we exist to serve. We know there is more to do. By 2028, we aim to reach 1 million young people annually, prioritising under-served areas and maintaining our focus on high quality impact.
Join us to inspire young people through cricket.
