The Medaille Trust
The Boyfriend Trick

Film & Campaign Description

Modern slavery and human trafficking are happening in plain sight. 'The Boyfriend Trick' dance film tells the story of a young Albanian woman, Malinda, who is tricked into the sex trade in London by her boyfriend. The film is based on the true story of a client of the Medaille Trust, a charity that provides safe houses for victims and survivors of modern slavery in the UK and was funded by the University of Warwick, Institute of Advanced teaching and Learning (IATL).

The Medaille Trust

HELP DEFEAT MODERN SLAVERY

Medaille Trust exists to provide refuge and freedom to victims of modern slavery – supporting them as they rebuild their lives. Today, we are one of the largest provider of supported safe house beds for victims of modern slavery in the UK.

What started in 2006 with a house for women trafficked into prostitution quickly grew into a national network supporting all people trapped in modern slavery – women, men and families.

Our specialist teams support clients 24/7 on the road to restoration and independence.
