Diabetes UK

Diabetes affects 4.9 million people in the UK. Millions more are at risk of developing type 2, often without knowing it. At Diabetes UK, we campaign for and support people with diabetes and their loved ones. And, as the UK’s leading charitable funder of diabetes research, we’ve been behind life-changing breakthroughs for over 85 years. Thanks to our 405 employees, researchers, volunteers and supporters, we’re moving closer to a world where diabetes can do no harm.

We want people to live well and longer with diabetes. This means better treatments, care and support, and more people in remission from type 2. But we don’t just want to treat diabetes, we want to stop it in its tracks. That’s why we raise awareness to prevent millions more from receiving a devastating diagnosis. And our researchers are leaving no stone unturned in their search for a cure.
